Bipolar “Slender-Resectoscope”

Besides the bipolar standard resectoscope, KARL STORZ additionally offers a thinner bipolar resectoscope. Compared to the bipolar standard resectoscope with an outer diameter of 8 mm, the bipolar “Slender-Resectoscope” has an outer diameter of only 7 mm and is based on a 2.9 mm HOPKINS® II rod lens telescope. This is very advantageous for infertile patients since due to the thinner outer diameter the access to the cervix channel is easier and less traumatic. Furthermore, the bipolar “Slender-Resectoscope” offers the well-known advantages of bipolar resection.

As with the KARL STORZ bipolar standard resectoscope there are also various electrodes available for the bipolar “Slender-Resectoscope”, which allows the surgeon to use this device in a wide range of indications.
